The resounding message of the 6th Africa Works! 2024 conference, themed ‘Africa’s Green Industrialisation/Made in Africa‘, emphasised that green industrialisation is imperative for Africa’s sustainable and inclusive growth. This event, held on April 23rd at the KIT in Amsterdam, underscored the necessity of value addition in African markets.
With over 330 attendees, including 15% African delegations and 75% private sector representatives, Africa Works! 2024 facilitated insightful discussions across six sector-focused sessions, covering circular food production, renewable energy, sustainable agro-logistics, and three country-specific sessions on Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Angola. The day’s programme delved into how Dutch and African private sectors can contribute to fostering a sustainable and inclusive future for the continent.
